This workshop is designed to give participants basic knowledge of how to deal with the danger of avalanches. Topics covered include: How does an avalanche form, what different types of avalanches are there, how can you reduce the risk of triggering an avalanche, how to read an avalanche report, how to use an avalanche transceiver, shovel and avalanche probe correctly, and how do you decide to abort a tour?

You are also welcome to book a few hours of ski lessons! I am a trained and certified Tyrolean ski instructor and have been skiing my whole life. I offer cross-country skiing lessons and alpine skiing lessons. For example, do you want to learn exactly how the correct carving technique works? How to ski more effortlessly and use far less strength? How to get down steep slopes safely and easily? How to reduce fear through skill? Then you have come to the right place. Ask me when booking what exactly you would like to improve!

Both workshops take place here at the local ski area “Åslia”. Here, ski equipment and a lift ticket are not absolutely necessary for the avalanche workshop. Of course, I offer both workshops also in the fjälls if you wish. In the fjälls, you will need your own ski equipment and a lift ticket, and have to organize the travel by yourself.

Price per person for the avalanche workshop: SEK 290.00 (minimum number of participants 6 people)

Price for one hour of ski lessons for up to 2 participants: SEK 800.00
